Our Story

Olympia Bible Baptist Church held our first service on September 16, 2001 at Jefferson Middle School.  We were then organized in September 9, 2002 with 25 charter members.  In October 2002, the church moved to the Black Lake Grange.  This move enabled us to hold all our services in one location.  However, as our church trust God, we continued to grow and surpassed the capacity of the grange in a few short years.  By August 2004, our Sunday morning services were averaging 116.  To accommodate this new number, we began renting the McLane Elementary School on Sunday mornings in November 2004.

By this point in time, Olympia Bible Baptist Church had moved from a school, to a grange hall, to another school and back to the grange continuously for five years.  Each week, we would set up for services and take down four times.  By God’s grace and the faithfulness and generosity of those who have helped us financially, we moved into our very own building in June 2006.

In the seven year history of OBBC, we have seen over 400 saved and 2,100 first time visitors.  Our people have given their time and money to send the gospel around the world.  We now support 34 missionaries monthly and have given over $250,000 to missions.
